The 8th NCID Research Workshop on Development Economics will take place on April 4th-5th 2019 at Fundación Ramón Areces in Madrid, Spain. This year’s event will be devoted to the topic “Political Economy of Development”.
Keynote Speaker: Romain Wacziarg, Professor of Economics, Hans Hufschmid Chair in Management at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Other confirmed speakers: Julien Labonne, Associate Professor of Economics and Public Policy, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford; Marta Reynal-Querol, ICREA Research Professor at the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and Director of the IPEG; Justin Sandefur, Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development; Rohini Somanathan, Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics and Pedro Vicente, Associate Professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Scientific Director at Novafrica.
Call for Papers
The call for papers for the 8th NCID Research Workshop on Development Economics is open. Please submit your paper through our website before 31st of January 2019 (by 12pm CET). If you experience any problems please feel free to email your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org. Only one submission per author will be considered. Decisions of acceptance or rejection will be sent out no later than February 15th, 2019.
If your paper is selected there will be no registration fees, but participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
