Mirko Abbritti is a Resident Fellow at the Navarra Center for International Development. He obtained a Ph.D. in International Economics at The Graduate School (Geneva, 2010). He has been a Consultant at ECB, and an Expert at the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and at the Graduate Institute’s Bilateral Assistance and Capacity Building for Central Banks (BCC) Programme. His current research is on the intersection between International Macroeconomics, Finance, and Labor Economy.

David Echeverry holds a PhD in Finance and Real Estate from the University of California at Berkeley. Before joining the University of Navarra he was a visiting professor at the University of Notre Dame. His research areas are information frictions in capital markets, behavioural economics and collective action problems in low-income communities.

Markus Kinateder is a Resident Fellow associated with the Navarra Center for International Development. He received his PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 2008, and an MSc Economics from the London School of Economics in 2003. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Navarra. His research is in theoretical and applied Microeconomics with publications in journals such as American Economic Journal, Microeconomics or Experimental Economics.

Alex Armand is an Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business and Ecnomics, a Faculty Fellow at the Navarra Center for International Development, and a Research Associate at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. His primary fields of interest are Development Economics, Applied Microeconomics and Policy Evaluation. His current work focuses on the effect of providing gender-targeted cash transfers on household outcomes and especially on human capital investment. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University College London.

Pedro Vicente is a non-resident fellow of the Navarra Center for International Development. He is the Founding Scientific Director of Nova Africa and assistant professor of the Department of Economics at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is also a research associate at the Centre for the Study of African Economies of the University of Oxford. He has also been a research fellow at the University of Oxford. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago, in 2005, in the area of Econometrics and Statistics.

Álvaro Beristain Perelló is a research assistant at the Navarra Center for International Development. He holds a degree in Journalism and Institutional Communication from the University of Navarra. His areas of interest lie in the continent of Africa: its development, education and institutions. He has experience in Atresmedia, Diario de Navarra and Fundación Emplea.
