1st NCID Workshop on Migration

The 1st NCID Workshop on Migration will bring together academic experts to offer an academic overview of this issue. While migrants represent 3.5% of the global population, there is still much to learn on the factors driving migration, the hurdles such as lack of skill transferability that migrants face, and the type of policies that could allow for assimilation in host countries. This is especially important in recent years, as forced migration has grown faster than voluntary migration.

The event will take place on November 11, 2019 at Aula ICS in the University of Navarra. The tentative schedule is as follows:

09:00-09:15: Registration

09:15-09:30: Introduction by Luis Ravina, NCID Director

09:30-10:30: Mariapia Mendola, Università degli Studi Milano-Bicocca

10:30-11:30: Anna Rosso, University of Milan

11:30-12:00: Coffee Break

12:00-13:00: Catia Batista, Nova Lisboa
