Camelia Minoiu, Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund, closed the 7th NCID Research Workshop with the presentation of her paper Financial Access Under the Microscope at the Fundación Ramón Areces in Madrid last 18th of May.

The paper is on financial inclusion. “Financial development and economic growth go hand in hand”, Minoiu said. The study focuses on the microfinance sector, which she considers “a crucial driver of financial development”.
