Raúl Bajo-Buenestado is a researcher associated with the Navarra Center for International Development. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Rice University in 2016. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at University of Navarra's Economics Department and a Nonresident Scholar at the Rice University's Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies. His research lies at the intersection of energy, environmental and resource economics, industrial organization, and regulation and competition policy. He received a Ramón Areces foundation Grant for his research project "Restructured Electricity Markets: Competition and Regulation with Environmental and Development Goals".
