Luís Cabral is a non-resident fellow at the Navarra Center for International Development. He is the Chair of the Department of Economics at NYU Stern and professor of economics and international relations at the same center. He previously taught at Nova (Portugal), LBS, LSE, Berkeley and Yale. He is a graduate of Stanford University (Ph.D. in Economics, 1989). Cabral is also research fellow of the Center for Economic Policy Research and was president of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics. His primary research area is the study of dynamic competition (learning curves, network effects, R&D, reputation).
