Scholars and policymakers from around the world presented their research and analysis on the relationship between freedom and prosperity.

Ignacio Campomanes, NCID resident fellow, shared his research on the Dimensions of Freedom and Economic Performance. He also participated in a panel discussion with other speakers. In his presentation, Campomanes stated, "it's important to think about the rule of law as a precondition for economic and political freedoms. Think of it as a container where you pour the other freedoms."

Ignacio´s research project is “Paths to Prosperity: Interactions between Rule of Law, Economic and Political Freedom.”  This project aims to promote research that explores the concepts of freedom and democracy and the mechanisms through which they affect overall prosperity.
