The Navarra Center for International Development is now receiving applications for Post-Doctoral fellowship. Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree in Development Economics, Political Science or Sociology. Those with research experience in the fields of migrations, innovation and technology transfer, and weak institutions are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a commitment to scholarly research and are expected to develop an active research program leading to both scientific publications and successful policy design.

Ãlvaro Morcillo, a Postdoctoral research Fellow at the Navarra Center for International Development (NCID), presented his research that looked at the relationship between crime and poverty in South Africa and how these factors are connected. “Crime drives away investment, both foreign and domestic, and consequently slows growthâ€, Morcillo said.
