The Center, belonging to the ICS, achieved number 57 in its category on the 2015 Global Go To Think Take Index Report, which analyzes around 7,000 institutions world wide.
The Global Go To Think Take Index, carried out by the University of Pennsylvania (USA), named the NCID among the best think tanks in the world. This is the first time that the NCID has appeared in the international ranking.
In the category "University Affiliated Think Tanks" the NCID is ranked 57 out of 88. This places it above well-respect centers, such as the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University (USA) o del MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).
The University of Pennsylvania has been publishing the report annually since it began 9 years ago. The latest edition reviewed 6,846 think tanks from around the world. 1,931 of those are North American, and another 1,770 fall within Europe. The report classifies think tanks into seven categories, which include from those which are government-affiliated or politically-affiliated, to corporate, university, or independent think tanks.
