The job market paper presented by Santiago Pereda Social Spillovers in the Classroom: Identication, Estimation and Policy Analysis displayed a new method of identifying and estimating the strength of social spillovers in the classroom and the distribution of teacher and student effects. The paper was presented by Javier Gardeázabal from the University of the Basque Country. It is a joint work with Todd Sandler – University of Texas at Dallas. The research focused on the role that Mobile/Fixed INTERPOL Network Database (MIND/FIND) has played in the War on Terror. MIND/FIND allows countries to systematically screen people and documents at border crossings against INTERPOL databases.
